Hi, I’m Sanya.

I’m the creatrix of Willow Moon.

For over eight years, I’ve been hosting retreats around the world through my other brand, Dreamy Retreats, where I’ve built a beautifully loyal community of over 10,000 on Instagram.

Along the way, my retreats have been honoured with Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award and featured in publications including The Telegraph, The Times, and The Sun.

Creating my very own retreat space has long been a dream on my vision board — a place shaped by everything I’ve learned and experienced over the years. A sanctuary where souls can come to be held. To rest, reconnect, heal, move, and grow.

It is my highest joy to now open my home, Willow Moon — not only to my own retreat guests, but also to other hosts seeking a special space to hold their gatherings.

Having spent time living on the island of Ibiza and hosting many retreats there, I longed to carry a piece of her spirit with me. So, I’ve woven a touch of her island magic into this place. I hope you’ll feel it here — in the warmth, the light, the sacred energy that flows throughout.

To my fellow retreat hosts — I see you. I honour the work that you do. And, while I know the depth and the beauty of holding space for others — I understand the challenges, responsibility and pressure that come with it.

Willow Moon has been created to support YOU. To hold you, as you hold others. The venue is designed with you in mind, and I’m here to make your hosting journey as seamless and stress-free as possible.

This is my manifestation.

This is Willow Moon.

And I can’t wait to welcome you home.

The meaning of “Willow Moon”.

The first time I arrived at the property, I saw her — the great willow tree standing quietly at the centre of the driveway.

I knew, instantly, she was something special.

The willow carries deep spiritual symbolism, often known as the “witch’s tree” — a guardian of intuition, mystery, and ancient feminine wisdom. It felt only natural that Willow would become part of this place’s name.

“Willow Moon” also marks a sacred season within the Celtic tree calendar, spanning mid-April to mid-May — a time of flowing waters, spring rains, and gentle renewal. It is a period of cleansing, of emotional release, and of soft transformation.

The energy of the willow weaves through this space, holding themes of:

Lunar connection

The willow tree is intimately connected to the moon, water and divine feminine energy.

Often associated with the Greek mythological goddess of the moon, Hecate, it has rhythmic ties to tides and lunar phases.

Flexibility and resilience

The willow branches are strong and can withstand the storm, representing resilience against hardship.

They bend without breaking - just like a yogi!

Magical powers

In ancient folklore, willow branches were placed over doors to ward off negative energy.

They were even used to make wands because the tree was believed to have magical powers for spells and divination.

Spiritual gateway

In Chinese/Japanese culture, the willow tree has been linked to communication with ancestors.

It is often viewed as a gateway between worlds, connecting us to the spirits and providing comfort to those suffering from grief.

Protective energy

The willow is a powerful symbol of protection, said to be the guardian of the land it stands upon.

Its maternal presence can be felt from far around as it keeps us away from harm in our sanctuary.

Emotional healing

Due to its connection with water, the willow is linked to emotional depth and the ability to let feelings flow.

With its “weeping” posture, it provides a safe space to process deep emotions, sorrow and loss.

Willow Moon is held by this energy — a place to soften, to release, and to return to yourself.
